NSPA HAS REACHED ITS GOAL WITH CREATION OF D1/D2 DIVISIONS

The purpose of the National Small Program Association (NSPA) was to help small programs all around the country.   We have reached our goal with the creation of D1 and D2 Divisions and ultimately the D1 and D2 Summits!  Congratulations to all small programs nationwide!   With D1 and D2 divisions, small programs can  become successful businesses, as well as competitive programs.
Kevin T. Brubaker  CHEERSPORT
"The National Small Program Association is a wonderful addition to the All Star Cheerleading Industry. It is a great place for smaller gyms to call their own to help their business. Whether they are competing, working on maximizing their gym’s profitability or improving their teams, the NSPA will help gyms be more successful.”

WHAT'S NEW FOR NSPA?

Josh Quintero   NSPA Director
Why is the NSPA important to me?  It's important because each year I see more and more Small Programs close down due to either athletes leaving to larger programs or their owners just don't have the tools to help them become successful business owners.  I truly believe that with the NSPA, we can make a difference in helping small programs grow and succeed across the country.  For questions about the NSPA please email/call Josh at: jquintero@varsity.com (580) 348-0255

Missy Quintero   NSPA Competition Director
The NSPA was created to help small programs become and stay successful. Not everyone has the opportunity to travel to conferences, talk with the “pros” in our business, or even just go watch competitions to see the trends. That is why the NSPA is here!  We are going to reach out to those small programs that need guidance on how to build their programs in a small market as well as share ideas from small programs that have already had success!  I truly believe we will make a difference in the small program industry!  For questions about NSPA Competitions email/call Missy at: mquintero@varsity.com (580) 348-0171

WHAT INDUSTRY LEADERS ARE SAYING...

NSPA:  MEET THE DIRECTORS...

  • The NSPA is happy to announce that moving into the 2015-2016 competition season we will be following the official USASF definition of Division II (formerly Small Gym divisions) for all NSPA events including the inaugural D2 NSPA Summit in Tampa, FL on April 30th - May 1st, 2016. Division II is now being defined as having one physical address for a gym location and having 125 athletes or less registered in a gym's cheer program at the time of competition. "Prep" athletes will also be counted toward the 125 athletes or less.

Regina Symons  American Cheer Power
"All gyms should be included in decisions made for the sport, no matter what size they are.  That is the main purpose of NSPA -- to give all gyms a voice with USASF!  American Cheer Power was the first company to host NSPA Championships. There will be several Varsity brands hosting next season."
